Hey everyone, after reading Mario's latest tutorial I thought I'd share a quick 2 second text effect that it reminded me off. You can check out Mario's tutorial here.
Step 1:
First thing you have to do is open up a 4x4 pixel document with a transparent background. make a four pixel white box in the top right corner and define it as a pattern.

Step 2:
Open up a document whatever size you want and make a cool background or whatever. The text effect looks best over nice vibrant backgrounds. Type out you text in big thick letters. Any font will work, but I used the font titled "Braggadocio"

Step 3:
Set the layer fill to 0% and apply pattern over.

After you do that set the layer mode to overlay.

If the text isn't visible enough simply make a duplicate. Here's how mine turned out:
