So this thread spawned out of Impulse's and mine's conversation about Ubuntu. So what's everyone's preferred operating system. I'll Start.

I always used to be a Windows guy but now a days I love mac osx. I honestly don't think I'd ever be able to switch back.

1. Mac OSX
2. Ubuntu
3. Windows 7
I chose Ubuntu, but right now I'm using Windows, out of lazyness, and the next computer I buy I assume will be Mac, but Ubuntu seems to me that it's just so good if you know how to use it, and this is the key.
But of course the OS I really want is one of the ones they use in Matrix and similar movies hehehe
Damnit, I had a feeling I forgot to add one operating system! MatrixOS that was it! lol.

Have you ever used ubuntu before? or just read about it?
I've never had it on a computer myself, but I've seen a friend use it, and my lord it looks amazing.

Oh cool, yeah it's a pretty solid OS. I've never had it crash on me or anything. Why not download it, and install it side by side with windows Wink ?
I'm considdering it hehehe
I just remembered, if you download ubuntu and burn it, you can put up the whole OS from the CD. You can use all the base programs, you just can't install anything new. It's kind of cool if you don't want to commit to it, or want to try it out.

Yeah me too. I want it just for fun, but it's kind of a pain in the ass to do on a mac. Bootcamp sucks dick. I have a 30gig partition on my hard drive, that was used for windows, that I can't do anything with. When I uninstalled windows (through bootcamp), it just left the partition there empty and I can do anything with it. >Sad
OpenSuse.
also i like BackTrack alot, gives me loads of diff tools, like WEP snort and such tools like that.
Ahh I tried Suse once before, never heard of BackTrack though.
chris, u can also just install WmWare (viritual pc) and install ubuntu or what distro/os u wanna try on that.
pretty easy to do rly, did it on school, also where i got to know OpenSuse first time Tongue
