Ask Focnr - Anything you want about coding! Q&A - Focnr - 03-28-2011 08:25 PM Ask me anything you'd like about coding here! Re: Ask Focnr - Anything you want about coding! Q&A - Chridian - 03-28-2011 08:26 PM Alright, What sort of domain do you need to code your own website, can you do it with wordpress, or do you need like .com? Re: Ask Focnr - Anything you want about coding! Q&A - Focnr - 03-29-2011 05:48 AM The website is pretty much the last step. If you use wordpress.com hosting, they don't allow you to edit the coding. I'd recommended doing this: - Open a document in notepad - Write some code - Save as yourtitle.html - Double click. You're then able to see the code, live. If you're interested in a website, you first need hosting. Godaddy.com, name.com, etc. I won't go further with that though, you should start with notepad. ^_^ Re: Ask Focnr - Anything you want about coding! Q&A - Chridian - 03-30-2011 07:44 AM Alright, I will try this out when you've made "step 1, step 2" etc, so that I can see properly, What I was wondering now is sort of like, if you code something you're really happy about, can you then convert that into a wordpress theme for instance? Again, I Am sorry if these questions sound stupid, like I said, I am a complete newbie. Re: Ask Focnr - Anything you want about coding! Q&A - Focnr - 03-30-2011 10:51 AM Yeah, you could, but you'll have to ask Balloon about that, as I know nothing about wordpress themes/coding. Re: Ask Focnr - Anything you want about coding! Q&A - Balloon - 03-30-2011 11:06 AM Wordpress is a bit difficult to jump into. Once you have your html/css down fluently you'll be ready to try it. There's plenty of tutorials around. Re: Ask Focnr - Anything you want about coding! Q&A - pinzdesign.com - 04-16-2011 12:26 PM php question: I wonder if function library pages, if they are included in every each page - are catched so that when i change page it doesnt need to be loaded again. 1.For example i got "utilities.php" file with basic functions like connection to database etc... 2.i got an index page, it includes utilities and calls for some functions 3.i got another page, it includes utilities too and calls for same functions When user, first entered index page, loaded utilities, changed page...loaded utilities again?..or does computer have the utilities already? Re: Ask Focnr - Anything you want about coding! Q&A - Focnr - 04-20-2011 06:21 PM I don't know jack about PHP. :/ |
